Sreejesh produced a spectacular save in the final seconds of the bronze medal match against Germany.
Sreejesh donated his bronze medal to his father after winning the bronze. The star goalie posted a photo of himself on Twitter alongside a video of his father enjoying the victory.
In their second Pool match, India had surrendered seven goals against Australia. Sreejesh, on the other hand, preserved a clean sheet in their next encounter, defeating Spain 3-0 to get their season back on track.
Following the loss to Australia, India's men's hockey team won four consecutive games to go to the semi-finals.
